Izhmash has a ‘new’ Saiga 12
Guns.com has a great article about a ‘new’ Saiga 12 model, and while it is new to Izhmazh, it’s definitely nothing new to American shooters.
Pistol grip, M4 buffer tube stock adapter, crazy muzzle brake, actually fixed gas selector, Texas weapon systems rail cover, and a Surefire(JTE) style magwell. If anything, at least they did their research and looked at what we were doing to them and then decided to come out with a new model. If only they had done so with the AK-12.
It seems that not only are they trying to cater to competition shooters, but I would bet money this is also a push to absorb additional market share(sell existing stock) before the VEPR-12 comes out.
Only time will tell (and the ATF)
